Music to my Ears!

I love music, and love listening to it whenever I am trying to get something done. Having a chatty class, I thought I would never be able to listen to music while they were working. It could only make them louder, right?! I decided to try out a few stations/songs to see if maybe we could find something that would help them concentrate while trying to complete their work. Out of all the stations I tried, the Jack Johnson playlist on YouTube was the best. It is very easy going, mellow music, which sets a calming classroom vibe. This has also turned into an incentive for my class. The students want to get started on their work so that I will turn on the music.

Go ahead and turn some tunes on in your class today and see if it helps get the kiddos going!
